Vidya Sanskar International School, Faridabad
Vasudha Neel Mani, Principal
Vidya Sanskar had a clear vision to prepare students for the challenges of the world of work and for future sociological changes. As a school we wanted an ICT project that was capable of delivering this vision for 21st century learning.
After completing a significant amount of research which included visits to a number of schools using iPads, Vidya Sanskar began discussions for an iPad 1:1 project. It became apparent from these discussions that the journey towards a full 1:1 deployment should begin with engaging the staff first, so as to lay a solid foundation for the rest of the project.
We believe it was crucial to make this initial investment with staff before the project opened up to parents and students. A teacher toolkit was purchased for each teacher, complete with iPad, a carry case, an Apple TV connected to the classroom projector. The teachers prepared their lesson plans and opened up their creative minds to make learning more enjoyable and effective.
Radius Systems-Apple Solution Experts, put in their best efforts and have been instrumental in this successful transition.
It took a quarter for the staff to get a grip on the iPads, supported with Apple Professional Development Sessions.and they also trained our technical team to lend support. This helped in our successful transition from a textbook oriented learning to digital aided learning and that gave us confidence to take the next steps
During the last fall we deployed iPads successfully with1:1 for all our Students. We have been able to observe how iPads have transformed the classrooms and made learning more meaningful.
We can confidently state that the introduction of the iPads has been an important milestone in the journey for attainment of our vision.
